Are Suffering From “ING” Syndrome?

Written By Dr. Sheldon on December 15, 2021

It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. Even though Christmas is a holiday most people look forward to, it can also be an extremely busy and high stress time.

The month leading up to Christmas alone can be quite a workout, never mind the holiday itself. There are so many tasks that need to be done: shopping for gifts, cleaning and decorating the house (both inside and out), traveling to join family, baking and cooking, shoveling snow. The list is endless.

Once the holiday is prepared, we gather with family and friends to begin the festivities with eating, drinking and sitting around visiting.

When you go through all these tasks and activities, you may find yourself suffering from the yearly condition called “ING” syndrome. Yes, all those verbs ending with “ING” can collectively take it's toll on your body, mind and spirit.

What compounds this phenomenon is that during this Christmas season, we often drop our regular routine of taking care of ourselves. When our body needs it the most, we put our attention elsewhere in the busyness of it all. And that is how “ING” syndrome is created. We know this from experience. Sometimes we just need a reminder.

Why not give the attention your body deserves during this holiday season? Maybe eliminate a few of the “INGs”. Chiropractic care reverses “ING” syndrome by removing the build up caused by daily stressors. Chiropractic rebalances the spine and nervous system to allow your body to recover and heal. You deserve to enjoy these holidays and move into the New Year performing at your best.
